In 1978, Rev. T.A. Leow obeyed God’s calling upon his life by leaving his ambitions back in Germany and returned to Malaysia to preach the gospel.
For four years, Rev. Leow held Christian fellowships at his home in the capital metropolitan of Kuala Lumpur. In 1983, Gospel Lighthouse Church Kuala Lumpur was recognized by the government of Malaysia as a religious organization. That same year, Rev. Leow married his bride, Sherrine Hee, as the church continues to grow to a congregation of several faithful families.
In 2005, GLCKL purchased her first church building in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, with a vision to see the next generation of believers continue GLCKL’s passion to help people connect to God, the church, and the community. The faithful members of GLCKL united as one to raise the funds to purchase a 7,500 square feet prime landmark in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.
Through the years, GLCKL has always extended her vision beyond the walls of the church by training and equipping its members to bring the gospel to every corner of the earth. Today, these disciples of Jesus are actively involved in church ministries around the world including in countries such as Singapore, the Philippines, Myanmar, Nigeria, Australia, U.K., Canada, and America.
Every Sunday morning, GLCKL holds services in four various locations in the city. These services are the English service and the Burmese-Zomi service. GLCKL is also actively involved to the call towards global missions through its effort of sending mission teams to other Asian countries, and also raising funds to support missionaries, building churches, and disaster relief charities.
The foundation of GLCKL is built upon the fundamental principles of the bible which emphasize faith, hope, and charity. The heartbeat of our church is to see lives changed by the power of Jesus. We, as the church believe that every person has a God-given purpose to live in this earth, which is to glorify Jesus.
We would love for you to join us in our services and consider joining us in this life together of believing, experiencing, and doing.
